         <description><![CDATA[<div><a href="https://www.goosechase.com/"><strong>GooseChase</strong></a> is an application that allows students to go on scavenger hunts. There is a point system that would incentive students to learn about different topics during the hunt.&nbsp;<br><br> This tool allows students to engage in project-based learning since they can work together in groups and research topics in and out of the classroom and having discussions about them. There are also many differentiation options to accommodate students with various learning needs.<br><br>This application is great for both environments because students can use this application and learn asynchronously and still be able to submit work for the teacher to review. It is also possible for use in synchronous learning situations in which students will work together in groups and use the application to learn while the teacher is monitoring them.<br><br>One example of using this application in a project-based unit is when students are learning about trees. Students can go outside the classroom to try to identify different trees by their stem or leaves. When they are done, they will submit the pictures back to the teacher. This give students real world experience in learning about this topic.<br><br>This meets the ISTE standard of 1.4 (Innovative Designer). The students are learning about to use different technologies to identify and resolve different problems. They are learning in an environment that offers them the chance to use new technologies.   &nbsp; &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

This tools encourages users to be creative and pragmatic about their work.&nbsp;<br><br>This tool is used for synchronously learning since students can work collaboratively online. They can be assigned a topic and have discussions about what they will put into their project-based comic book.<br><br>Pixton can help engage students by allow them to be more creative when they are demonstrating their understanding. The level of diferienation allows students with different learning needs to create a comic book regardless of the level of artistic skill.&nbsp;<br><br>One example of using Pixton would be to rewrite the ending to a book or movie. They can change the setting or other features in the work to meet the requirements of the project. This will require them to think more creatively.&nbsp;<br><br>This tool can help achieve the ISTE standard of being an innovative designer. Students are involved in the design process and encouraged to come up with different solutions. Using this comic book format allow learners to think critically about the content.</div>]]></description>

They can access the learning materials at anytime, which allows them to learn more efficiently. They can have a serious discussion or debate about this issue after they have reviewed the background information to prepare them for the activity. The teacher can ensure that both sides are fully informed about the topic since students would be more engaged the discussions. &nbsp;<br><br>This tool meets the ISTE standard of 1.3 (Knowledge Constructor) because students are constructing knowledge as they engage in the activity.
