I would argue that it is her best album out of her discography as it is both experimental and a proper and appropriate comeback from her break after the devastating terrorist attack in Manchester. Working with Pharrell Williams brought a funkier side to the album accompanied with his minimalistic productions. I enjoyed the simplistic approach to the production contrasted with the complex vocal productions through the hundred of adlibs and vocal arrangements. It was refreshing to Ari have more creative control with this album and be able to share her experiences, struggles, and journey of healing through her lyrics and melodies. Additionally, Ari was able to fully display her vocal abilities showcasing her lower range in R.E.M and talent in vocal arrangements in get well soon. My favorite tracks on Sweetener are "better off", "everytime", and "get well soon". Fine Line is a masterpiece at its finest. Although, I would have to argue that his first solo album is the superior album. Most of the songs on there have more of a rock vibe whereas his most recent album displays his pop era. I honestly couldn't say that there is one song from this album that I would skip over. However, there are many different moods within the album. Carolina, Only Angel, Kiwi, and Woman are all songs to rock out to.  Whereas Meet Me in the Hallway, Sign of the Times, Two Ghosts, Sweet Creature, Ever Since New York, and From the Dining Table, are all calm songs for a pure self-reflection. I think this collaboration is a match made in heaven. This album is such a great homage to the R&B, Soul, and Disco of the 1970s. Bootsy Collins was a perfect addition to this album,  truly I can't get enough of his adlibs. I love how this album highlights the great parts of life when so many artists nowadays try to capitalize on their sadness and end up creating something completely unoriginal and one dimensional. It is unfortunate though that Kacey wrote this about a guy who she'd end up divorcing. Either way, this album is so good and it had no skips. My favorite tracks are Golden Hour and Love is a Wild Thing. The album is consists of slower, atmospheric sounds and productions. The common production and story theme throughout the album creates a very cohesive project. To add to the melancholy themes of the album, there are darker production choices throughout like the continuous use of the electric guitar and traditional drum kit as the main instruments used further demonstrates the soft and psychedelic rock feel. This album further confirms Lana's ongoing message of her version of the "American Dream" as this dark, moody, and melancholy romanticization of violence and love. My favorite tracks are "Sad Girl" and "Pretty When I Cry". It meshes punk vocal elements with surf rock somehow seamlessly. The songs are all amazing in their own right. They are full; with highs and lows and emotions you can feel through Kim Deal’s bass and Black Francis’ vocals. No part of this album is boring and it keeps you interested the whole way through, making all the songs un-skippable. Even 33 years later, I hear songs coming out today with elements that almost parallel those in songs like “Mr. Grieves” and “There Goes My Gun”. The top songs I'd recommend from the album are “Hey”, “Gouge Away”, “Monkey Gone to Heaven”, and “Wave of Mutilation”.
