Social Psychology are studies on how we think about, influence, and relate to one another. Dispositional attribution assigns the cause for a behavior to some internal characteristic of a person. An example is, when you see someone crying, they are crying for an internal reason. Situational attribution is the process of assigning the cause of behavior to some situation or event outside a persons control rather than to some internal characteristics. An example is, you see someone wearing expensive shoes, a situational attribution is that they bought it because everyone else in their friend group has them.

Social Psychology studies the thoughts and feelings of other individuals. Dispositional attribution relates with the inner self. ex: failing a test. Situational attributions would be trying to find out why someone is acting the way they are be cause of an event that's happening outside of there control. ex: bad weather or breaking a bone.

An example of this is Say someone's car breaks down on the highway and that person believes their car broke down because its old that would be a situational attribution.

Social Psychology scientifically studies how we think about, influence, and relate to one another.
Attribution theory suggests that we have a tendency to give casual explanations for someone's behavior often by crediting either the situation of the person's disposition. An example of Attributing Behavior is if you see someone running in the streets, you might assume that the person running is getting chased by the police.
Situational attribution is occurs when you believe a person's behavior is driven by external factors. An example of situational attribution is if you see someone crying on the subway, you might assume that the person just encountered a traumatic event.
- Reeha Ali

Social psychology is the scientific study of how the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of individuals are influenced by the actual, imagined, and implied presence of others. Dispositional attribution is when some acts a certain way all the time. For example if a person cry every time they get a bad grade on a test. Situation attribution- is when some acts a certain way because something happened. For example if someone started screaming because a spider was on their leg.
