The Outsiders is a perplexed novel that consists of many twists unpredicted by the common reader. The novel follows a young "greaser" named Ponyboy. Ponyboy, or better known as "pony" is recognized as a common greaser, slicked back hair, enrolled in a gang, depleting personal life, yet pony consists of unnatural greaser characteristics. Like pity, and sympathy. Often times an uncontrollable rage toward the common enemy across town, the "Socs". Though Pony is accompanied by his trustful gang, an emptiness lurks inside of him. Now the question remains, will pony rise to the adversities accustomed to being a Greaser, or will he change their reputation forever?
