At the time, modern day Germany was divided into many smaller German states. There were two main power in their region were Austria and the rising power, Prussia. After the Napoleonic wars, the German confederation was created but it was unsuccessful at stopping the rivalry between Austria and Prussia. The calls for unification would grow louder and in 1848 small revolutions would spread through out the German nations causing liberals to meet in the Frankfurt assembly and they pushed for a united Germany. Fredrick William IV was offered the crown of Germany but he declined it but in 1861 Otto Von Bismarck would become chancellor and would he would want to expand Prussia and unite Germany through "blood and iron". He would declare war with Denmark and after emerging victouries he would go to war with Austria and defeat them uniting northern Germany. He would continue this by going to war with France and crushing them in battle causing the rest of the German states to side with Prussia uniting them into the German Empire.

Otto Von Bismarck was the prime minister of Prussia from 1862 -1871 and then the first chancellor of Germany from 1871-1890. Bismarck would be the one who would end up uniting the German states into Germany and would be known for going to war with many countries. In 1949 he would elected to the Prussian lower chamber of Deputies and in 1851 he would be appointed by Fredrick William IV as the Prussian representative of the Federal Diet in Frankfurt. This would be viewed as a reward for Bismarck due to his loyalty to the monarchy. He would live in Erfurt for 8 years and there he would see that there would be a common difference between him and the Austrian around him so he started to reassess. He would eventually become the prime minister of Prussia and then use "blood and iron" to unite Germany into one nation.

Haiti would start start off as French Saint Dominga and would quickly become one of the richest colonies in the new world. This was because of the products like cotton, tobacco, and coffee that was grown on the island and would end up being sold around the world. however they used slavery to harvest said crops this would lead to many salves wanting freedom and better living conditions. tensions would rise between the different ethnic groups on the island and when the French revolution broke out in France, they salves stared small rebellions on the islands due to free men of colors inability to vote. The rebellions grew and grew and eventually the French would send a small army to France in order to stop it but the French were defeated. many more attempts were made to stop the revolution but they would all fail and it be Toussaint Louverture who would make Haiti a slave free country.
