Anne Frank does live through her diary because it shows her experience with her family and her personality and how nice she was , so you sort of feel like you were with her and in that way her legacy lives on. My partner and I found these to be the most important passages in the text:
"They forced father out of business. We had to wear yellow stars,I had to turn in my bike"Para.30.This passage is important because it shows the restrictions put on the by the Nazis.
"She breaks off as she hears the sound of the car screeching to a stop..There is a violent pounding on the door."Para.44.
This passage is important because it shows when they were found and caught by the Nazis

The text implies that she does live on through her diary because her diary tells her story and shares her experiences with the rest of the world and also tells about history. Her story and her symbol lives on which means that Anne Frank does live on through her story. "My father was thirty six when he married my mother, who was then 25. My sister Margot was born in 1926 in Frankfort-on-Main..." (Pg. 214 Par. 4 Anne Frank) This means that Anne Franks story is in her story and sense the diary lives on she lives on through her diary.

We noticed that when giving the speech the man mentions other people. Some questions that we have are why did he include other people in his speech and for what purpose? We can conclude that he used other people in his speech because it could help him get his word out by including other people in his speech.

The boy in paragraphs 4-7 symbolizes or represents the mans past. "And now the boy is turning to me: Tell me, he asks. What have you done with my future?" (Par. 6 Pg. 223 Elie Wiesel) Wiesel may have chosen to convey his point through symbolism because it could help the audience visualize it more and visualize his past more. We both agree that on the text that we found especially important which is "Yes, I have faith. Faith in God and even in His creation. Without it no action would be possible. And action is the only remedy to indifference: the most insidious danger of all. Isn't this the meaning of Alfred Nobel's legacy? Wasn't his fear of war a shield against war?" (Par. 11 Pg. 242 Elie Wiesel) We noticed in the text that he mentions another person and also mentions his belief in God. Some questions that we asked are why would he mention his belief in Gad and why would he mention other people in his speech? The conclusions that we reached are that his speech is him trying to get his word and thoughts out so of course he would include his belief and involving others will help others understand more on what he feels. The speech has taught us about how we remember about the past by having us read about the past and how the past can be remembered through people, and documents of papers.

We think that he means we can not forget about the past and not have the lives lost to be forgotten. if we do then it will be like their lives were meaningless. The statement reveals about his point of view that he respects the ones who have lost their lives and does not want to forget about them. Wiesel's perspective on the individuals responsibility to end human suffering is he is thankful to them and is grateful. "Thank you, people of Norway, for declaring on this singular occasion that our survival has meaning for mankind." Wiesel acknowledges and responds to other view points on contemporary political conflicts by involving them in the speech and using them as examples.

(Par. 3 Pg. 223 Elie Wiesel) The significance of this is that he is saying that he has always thought of the future for Jews and what would happen to them witch reveals some thought he has about Jews.

Example 2: "...for I have faith in Jewish people..."

Things that we have noticed in A Diary from a Young Girls is that Anne Frank, even with all her friend's, seems to have no one truly close to her and uses her diary because of this. Some questions that we have are why does she not have any close friends to her and why did she use a diary for this missing close friend of hers. We can conclude that Anne Frank is lacking confidence and uses a diary because a diary you get more personal with and that is what she wants to do with a friend so that is why she uses a diary.
