The main problem is that unless these religions can accept the existence of other religions, they will not quit fighting. However, they will keep attempting to convert others to their religion, which means that this attempt at converting may start more wars with other religions, and that is the main problem. By creating peace, it would slow that religion's advance, and the main drivers and figureheads of said religion would never accept that. a) the inability of Palestinian-Israeli leaders to come to an agreement both in the past and present 

b) militant actions done by the Israel Defense Forces and Palestinian partisans which continue to escalate tensions

c) the Israeli settlement of Palestine

Human rights abuses and bloodshed seems to surround this conflict and given those three major reasons among many others it does seem unlikely that a mutually satisfactory agreement will be reached. Both Israel and the Palestines want this land, and probably won't ever agree and how to share the land. The land is sacred to both of them and that means that it is part of their core beliefs. It is something that neither of them are willing to give up because they think that it is theirs and it is a huge part of them. It is like little kids not wanting to give up a toy that they both think is theirs. Both think that the land belongs to them and don't want to give it up. The land is also very attached and the land is holy to them. The land belongs to both of the groups of people, and the land contains sacred areas of all of the religions. Each group believes that their cause is more important than that of the other group. Because there is so much history of conflict and so much importance   tied to the land, I don't think this is something that will be every truly resolved.
