Ok fine. 
Ill be honest this isn’t my favorite thing I’ve done. Half way through it I realized it was because the texture of the columns don't match the texture of the sky (thx watercolor paper the feeling is mutual). Im currently working on the same piece but as a digital art, so I can match up the textures and see if I like to better. 
But as for the actual piece. It’s an architectural ruin i based off of the Greek deities Mnemosyne (Memory), Hyperion (sun, East), and Iapetus (mortality, west).

The more art I do for my SI the more I want to reword my inquiry (rn it’s Stories Through Scenery and I’m just not sure if it’s fitting with the style anymore)
But for the piece itself I expirimented a lot with more unnatural colors, and the designs are inspired by Egyptian columns that I’m more or less making my own. The type of column is very Egyptian like but the designs and “hieroglyphics“ are 100 me. 
I was actually surprised on how the human silhouette ish style came out so for the next project I’m going to work again with human figures. Using the same style on something like a statue and this time possibly with some type of paint

But this piece is about literally how I feel and how my pain has always been covered and I have been forced to smile and move on from what happened. The hands represent the people in my life who have caused me to cover up my emotions and fake emotions. The ravens represent the mockery and how the words weigh down on me to show how they have physically and emotionally hurt me. The showing of the eye being uncovered from the hand represents the dead look I have and the eyes within the background represent the straining feeling I have when looking for a way to speak about my emotions.

The Chinese Water Dragon is a symbol for people who hold power and fame through honor and integrity. The Japanese kitsune was a symbol for immortality, superior intelligence, and power. The reason these two creatures are fighting is because Chinese cultures and Japanese cultures don't normally intertwine with one another. In this piece I used watercolors, colored pencils, and black ink. The scene I used shows him as the triumphant captain of the Jolly Roger after his fight with Hook. And also a reference to my own version of Peter Pan before he got on the Neverland when he was a crew member on the ship. 
I used pen to draw the boat then I got carried away with a bunch of water color layers (the paper got really crinkled cause of it but it’s fiiiiiiiine) but I still ended up really loving it

I wanted a piece that showed a deeper image of what anxiety and stress do. The crayon shows the anxiety, because to me anxiety is crazy and not controlled, almost all over the place. The colors are scribbled everywhere and in different directions so it represents something out of order. The newspaper represent stress. Some of the newspaper pieces are covered in coffee to represent old thoughts, the rest are not covered so they represent newer thoughts.
