What It Is:
This is the site of what The Foundation for Teaching Economics calls its "Flagship Program", Economics for Leaders. EFL contains an EXTENSIVE collection of information and materials for students and teachers alike.
Additionally, they offer in-person summer institutes for both teachers and students.

How to Use it In Your Classroom:
1) A full lesson, unit, or curriculum
-The site offers a detailed curriculum with lessons organized by topic. Lessons include handouts, slides, vocabulary and additional background information for the teacher.

2) Stand-Alone Games, Simulations, and Stand-Alone Activities--So many options!
-This site had a slew of ready-made games and simulations (mostly to be done in person/not online), to be used to teach everything ranging from how any thing can be used a currency, to the labor market, exchange rates, and inflation to name a few.
(According to the site, many of these activities could be done within a class block or period.

What It Is:
This curriculum unit from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis was designed for high school students and meets the National Standards for Economics and Financial Literacy.

How to Use It:
-It looks as if the majority of this unit could be completed in a week and a half. (I know that was a concern among Econ teachers--you were looking for materials for shorter periods of time.)
-Also, the lessons appear as if they could be used as stand alones/mix and match so you could probably pick and choose the lessons that seem most important if your instructional time is extremely limited.

What it Is:
Econlowdown is an award winning free platform with online Economics education resources for K-12 including online learning modules and a podcast series.

How to Use It:
-Provides short online reading assignments and videos with interactive comprehension questions and activities. The questions are automatically scored so students can get instant feedback and the modules do not appear to go on until a student completes the questions.
-This could be a great resource to assign as makeup if a student misses a lesson, as reading for the times when you want students to have formal/textbook reading with a bit more interaction or as a sub plan.
-The site claims teachers can set-up "classrooms" and students can interact within the site. (Due to the Ransomware attack, I have not been able to verify whether this app is on district approved list of sites; however, the sites link claims it adheres to FERPA policies when gathering student date.
