Ares the God of War, is thirsty for conflict. He's aggressive and quick temper. He probably became the God of War because of how strong he is. Also, everyone hated Ares. On the other hand, Athena is the Goddess of Wisdom and other things. She was loved by everyone and fought strategically in her battles. They both were children from the God of Thunder Zeus. Also, a difference of each other were their symbols. Ares could be represented with a sword, shield. Athena could be represented with an aegis or a shield of goatskin. Athena taught mankind various skills and sewing to the women and agriculture and metallurgy to the men and helped during a fight in the wars. Ares was just a warrior who caused lots of destruction..

Both Zeus the Thunder God and Poseidon the God of the Sea are both similar because they're both very powerful in Mount Olympus. They were both different because they both ruled as Gods of different things. Zeus ruled the sky and Poseidon ruled the sea. They're also different because they have different symbols that represent themselves. Poseidon could be represented with a trident or a horse and Zeus could be represented with a lightning bolt or an eagle. They both were somehow related when they both became gods from the same battle when their was beef between the lawless titans and the olympian gods in a 10 year battle known as Titanomachy. That's how Zeus became god of the sky and Poseidon the god of the seas.
