This is a non-representational image I created during unit one based off of a photo of bamboo I took. I tried to capture the same vibe the wildness of the bamboo was giving me.

This was based off of the same picture of bamboo I used for the non-representational image. I had more fun making this one, it let me kind of go free more.

For this assignment I chose to use a photo of some leaves I had taken during the summer. The shape of them just seemed like it would be fun to draw. It was definitely easier to draw the positive space version than the negative space.

This is the negative space version of the leaves I had drawn. I had trouble imaging the shape in my head, it felt like I was thinking backwards and it just wasn't working well for me.

Here is my attempt at shading, this unit was a struggle for me I'm just not even going to post what I called cross hatching....

Unit 5: Painting Emotion

This unit might've been my favorite one. Here I painted a figure of a person with the sun and the ocean in the background. The swirls and different colors coming out of the head are supposed to represent all the different thoughts.

This is my recycle robot named Susan. I made this out of cardboard, old paper, pieces from a water bottle, tin foil, googly eyes and hot glue. I'd say she's a very nice supermarket cashier robot.

Unit 7: Close Photograph

In this unit I took photos of different things around my house up close. I tried to find something that had a unique shape or gave a unique feeling. I ended up settling with a photo of the blinds up close. I thought it looked cool at an angle with the shadows.
