One quote is  “There I feel that nothing can befall me in life,no disgrace,no calamity,(leaving me my eyes,)which nature cannot repair”(365).  This quote shows  self reliance 
Because nature can only happen one time and be itself. 
 
Another quote is  “Speak what you think now now in hard words and tomorrow speak what tomorrow thinks in hard words again,though it contradict everything you said today”(364). This ties into spiritual  well being over  because they're saying they don't really care about what other people say only about themselves.
