In this role, I support the continuous development of teaching practice across the organisation by leading on several strategic initiatives. These include:

• Promoting the effective use of AI in education and developing staff digital literacy to reduce workload, enhance lesson planning, and improve student outcomes.

• Integrating WalkThru strategies into the observation and feedback process to ensure consistent, research-informed approaches to teaching development.

• Designing and implementing a comprehensive new starter programme, ensuring new staff are supported from induction through to confident, independent practice.

• Conducting session visits and offering instructional coaching, providing tailored, evidence-based support to drive improvements in teaching and learning.

• Delivering high-quality CPD sessions, aligned to college priorities and responsive to emerging staff needs.

• Specialising in land-based education, offering subject-specific pedagogical support within this area.

• Leading the Teacher Effectiveness Enhancement Programme (TEEP), embedding a clear and practical framework for high-impact teaching across departments.

We're based in Wilmslow so I've also put a pin there, however I personally work remotely from home in York so am interested in networking with others who are local to me.

We're revisiting our strategy around visits, wanting to embed more practitioner-led CPD and get some peer visits going on too.
