The bar chart shows the travel destinations chosen by these people from 1994 to 1998. Overall, as a top popular destination, Western Europe has always had a significant lead in the number of times it was chosen during these five years, almost ten times that of North America and other regions. It reached a peak in 1998, with nearly 25,000 visits, which is about 30% ahead of the lowest number in 1995, which was 17,000. Among these five years, the number of people choosing North America has always been lower than those choosing other regions. The largest gap was in 1994, with nearly 500 fewer visits. However, the number of people choosing North America has been increasing, and in 1998, it was equivalent to nearly 80% of those choosing other regions.

The number of citizen from UK (British / British nationals) who travel abroad to enjoying holiday ( on holiday)in 1994 was at 15246, and five times as many as that for business. And the number of UK citizen visit overseas for other reasons was 2173 lower than travel overseas for business at 982 in 1994, and that also was the fewest compare with the other reasons in the same year. In 1997, the quantity of UK citizens travel overseas to visiting friends and relatives was three times as many as that for others reasons at 3051. There was an slight increase of the quantity of UK citizens who travelled overseas for holiday during the period from 1995 to 1998 was at 5802, while the amount of UK citizens travel overseas was always around 1000 without any significant growth. Interestingly, most of UK citizens who travelled abroad for holiday, which was totally at 88443 by combining these 5 years, and 71255 much higher than that for the total number of people for business.

The second graph depicts Britain visitors' destinations from 1994 to 1998.The scale of visiting North America in 1994 is about 1000 which is similar to the amount of travelling to same place in the next year.While the number of Britain visitors travelled to other countries is twice of the amount of people who visited North America in 1994.Thus,the data of traveling to North America in 1995 is almost identical to half of the scale of visiting other countries in the last year.What's more,the number of traveling to Western Europe is more than ten times of the amount of visiting North America in1994.While the former data is identical to six times of the number of visiting other countries in the same year.There is no doubt that Western Europe was the most popular destination for Britain visitors from 1994 to 1998.

In general, the most popular reason of travel overseas was for holiday (during the period of time) and most travelers would like to choose Western Europe for their destination.

In 1994, people who traveled abroad during the holidays accounted for three quarters of people who went abroad at 15246, they were 12091 (around 12,000) higher than people who went abroad for business. They also were 11575 higher than the combined population of visiting to friends and relatives and other reasons accounted for 3671. In 1995, people who traveled abroad during the holidays also were the highest in four reasons at 14898, they were 14002 higher than people who went abroad for other reasons. They were 11710 bigger than people who went abroad for business.

The data of Western Europe in 1997 was barely below 1998, which was about 24 thousand. Notably, Although the North America’s tourists had a 2-fold increase from 1994 to 1998, but it still existed a micro gap than other areas in 1998.
