Product assessments focuses on the outcome or answer that a student has given. Through our discussion I also gathered that these can be seen when teachers only grade and assess traditional assessments (exam, test, etc.). On the other hand, process assessments involve evaluating the step-by-step process that a student was able to do in accomplishing projects like experiments. In these projects there is still of course an outcome or product, but the process is taken into consideration (that is the process assessment). Process assessment also encourages more academic integrity which is why there are also many techniques we can use to integrate it in the classroom. - Phoebe Usman

I think that it’s important that we focus BOTH on product and process assessment as they offer complementary perspectives on students progress and learning. Valuing both aspects will give teachers the opportunity to provide support on the needed areas, personalized support, and promotes continuous improvement.
