         <title>Week 2: 9/18/2020</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week, we learned the foundation of Python. We began by reviewing the going more in depth with information we learned last week, begin the understanding of our coding project. We began by learning nested lists and understanding the items within the list. In addition, we learned about If statements, which are used to test for particular conditions and respond appropriately. Lastly, we reviewed while loops, which is repeating a section of code. It is great to use when you are unsure how many times the code would run. By looking at different scenarios and examples of this, it helped teach us a lot. We all practiced on our own time and understand a lot more than we did last week. </div>]]></description>

Using the things we learned, we incorporated it into our personal repositories and did some practice problems. After the lecture about functions and menus, we integrated John's menu into our group project.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Fundamentals AP Central Study Journal Week #5</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Within our Snake Game Project, we highlighted the key fundamental basics of the AP CSP requirements. As a trio, we contributed to the main project by being present in conversations and offering additional ideas on adding features into the game.  <br>While Valerie focused on creating a schedule, planning mini-lessons, and forming the main code, Aidan added color into the game by changing the color of the snake and the apple. Risa focused on the code of the snake's movement and made sure the speed was consistent, while also finalizing the README file. Together, the three of us were also able to work as a team to create the snake game. </div>]]></description>

         <title>SELF GRADE FOR PROJECT</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Val - </strong>I believe I deserve a 40/40 for this portion of the project because I heavily contributed to the actual code of the project and played around in my personal playground. I used my personal playground project to try new things (such as stdscr instead of newwin) instead of trying it in our public repository to avoid accidentally messing up code. Additionally, I met all of the AP Requirements, as shown in the "AP Requirements Table" Document linked under "AP Requirements Met" <strong><br>Aidan - </strong>I believe I have earned a score of 39/40 even though I did not write the majority of the code, I was able to assist and help my teammates with problems that they have faced. I have maintained good collaboration and communication with my teammates and was able to finish what I was assigned. I also met all of the AP Requirements, which can be viewed in the "AP Requirements Table" link in the block to the right. <strong><br>Risa - </strong>I believe I deserve a score of 39/40 because I put in a lot of effort in figuring out the logistics of the snake and solved/fixed the errors that occurred within our code. I tried out new things within our code by changing the integers to see how it affects the snake's movement. I made sure to communicate with my team members through slack and put comments next to the code so they can understand what I plan to do. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Week 4: 10/2/2020</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week we leaned about lists, dictionaries, and iterations. By watching the overview on the project boat game, it has been very helpful in our understanding on the basics of python. Some basic things we learned about lists is that it is an ordered sequence of code that has elements within it. These elements are called items and are defined by having values between square brackets. Another term we learned about is dictionaries, which allow you to connect pieces of related information. Each piece of information in a dictionary is stored as a key-value pair. When you provide a key, Python returns the value associated with that key. You can loop through all the key-value pairs, all the keys, or all the values. Lastly, iterations are repeated execution of a set of statements. We all practiced these in our own playgrounds and made sure we understood the concepts before implementing them into our snake game. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Week 6: 10/16/2020</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week we began to create ideas for our new website project. We created a document will different project ideas and narrowed it down to 3. We finally decided on creating a  site that will store all of the links to people’s projects, whether they be group projects or personal, and we want to collect them from as many people as possible. We would have an organization by period, (2-5) and we would also want to have a search engine, or a way to find the projects stored by name or by period. This is similar to a “database” of sorts, just much simpler. In addition, we created roles for each person in our group so we can all contribute to the project. Another thing we started working on is downloading Intellij and creating GitHub. This is where we could store all our projects. <br><br></div>]]></description>
