         <description><![CDATA[<div>One of Hart's most longstanding annual community events is back for another year.&nbsp; Fleet &amp; District Carnival is organised by a volunteer committee, and all proceeds will go towards their chosen charity for 2023 - <a href="https://www.facebook.com/sashasproject/">Sasha's Project</a>.&nbsp; Activities in Calthorpe Park start from 10.00 and include a Carnival Market &amp; Bar, traditional fete games, Searle's Fun Fair. The Grand Procession along Fleet Road starts at 12.00pm, and there will be a Dog Show and Music also in Calthorpe Park from 2.00pm.&nbsp; The event finishes at 8.00pm.          <title>Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Aviva, in partnership with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), is making £1 million in funding available to support community groups across the UK to protect and restore nature in their local area. The Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund is a crowdfunding initiative that will give £2 for every £1 raised by each project. The matching applies to each individual donation up to £250, with a total of £5,000 in match funding available per community project. A wide range of nature projects can be supported, from creating community gardens and replanting wildlife meadows, to protecting wildlife and promoting community connection to nature. Applications can be made at any time until all funding has been allocated.&nbsp; </div>]]></description>

The Big Bike Revival 2023 is focusing on teaching skills and leading bike rides. If your organisation is able to deliver events that meet those criteria, you can apply for a grant of up to £2,000. Grants can be spent on equipment to expand capacity; venue hire for learn events or instructors to lead bike rides. The delivery period for the 2023 programme began on 15 May and lasts until 30 September 2023. Applications open to 31 May.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The weather couldn’t have been kinder for the grand opening of Church Crookham &amp; Fleet Men’s Shed (CC&amp;FS) ‘building 505’ at Hartland Village. <br>On Wednesday 7<sup>th</sup> June representatives from developers, Berkeley St Edward &amp; Hart District Council joined a plethora of ‘shedders’ &amp; their guests at the official opening of the charity’s second shed.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br></div><div>The CC&amp;FS committee led by Chairman Allan Walker have worked closely with Berkeley representative, Lisa Smith to bring the new facility on-line; coupled with their Naishes Lane shed, Building 505 will enable CC&amp;FS to reduce their waiting-list of new ‘shedders’ whilst continuing to deliver fabulous projects for the local community.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
