         <description><![CDATA[<div>While reading in content areas I would provide stopping points for my students and me to have a discussion about what we read. I might even have students turn and talk with a partner or&nbsp;their table group. I would allow students to fill in guided notes when we stop to talk about the content. I would also be sure to display both the reading and the notes on the board. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>With a lot of my students, they struggle with reading therefore their comprehension is effected. Once my students have read/decoded a text, I may have them re-read it so it is more fluent, and we also focus on skills for looking back in the text if they are unsure of an answer. This includes picking key words in the question and looking for those in the story. Also, before we read, we do a picture walk. </div>]]></description>

For example, I remember when I was teaching students about cloud formation in the Amazon rainforest and I could sense that there was some confusion- we stopped and as a class drew out the entire cloud formation cycle.</div>]]></description>
