         <description><![CDATA[<div>(In a sport game, the Legislative Branch is like the players trying to score points) <strong>Article I</strong></div><ul><li>Controled by the Congress.</li><li>The Legislative branch has the senate (2 from each state) and the House of Representatives</li><li>Legislative Branch is the only branch that can create or change existing laws.</li><li>The Constitution grants the Legislative the power to make the annual budget for the Federal Government.</li><li>Legislative can declare war.</li><li>Legislative can regulate the interstate and the foreign commerce. </li><li>Legislative controls taxing and spending of the policies. <br><br></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>(In a sport game, the Judicial Branch is much like the referee.) <strong>Article III</strong></div><ul><li>Helps settles disputes.</li><li>Clarifys the rules and that each side is acting adequetly. </li><li>The supreme court is the top court of the Judicial Branch and cannot be challenged by other courts.</li><li>The Judicial responsibility is to interrupt the constitutuion.</li><li>They can declare a law or presidential unconstitutional. </li><li>The Judicial Branch decides the meaning of the law, how it's applied, and if it breaks any of the rules of the constitution.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Levinson favors rewriting significant provisions in each of the Constitution’s first three articles dealing with Congress, the president and the judiciary. Among other changes, Levinson would enlarge the Senate to give bigger states more senators, replace the Electoral College with direct popular election of the president and limit the lifetime tenure of Supreme Court justices. p.743 </li><li>Of Levinson’s various proposals, only replacing the Electoral College with popular election has received widespread attention; it has consistently reg- istered majority support in public opinion polls over several decades. 18 “Every poll has shown majority sup- port for getting rid of the Electoral College,” Levinson says. “But it’s not going anywhere.” pg.749</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>(Constitution divided the Government into three branches: Judicial, Legislative, Executive)</div><ul><li>Helps so that one branch isn't getting too powerful.</li><li>The Executive Branch has the power to check on the Legislative Branch by vetoing laws that the Congress wants to pass.</li><li>The Legislative Brach can check on the Executive Branch by passing laws over the veto by 2/3 vote in each house.</li><li>The Judicial Branch can check both the Legislative Branch and the Executive Branch by declaring laws unconstitutional. </li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
