Hello everyone!

My name is Aida, i am from Bosnia, i was born in Berlin, Germany, i've lived here in Jacksonville, Florida pretty much my whole life and i absolutely love it!! I'm currently pursuing my AA in Business Administration. I am looking forward to this class and learning how to be a successful manager one day! I am hoping to open up my own business, not really sure what its going to be just yet. I love love LOVE to travel and this summer i'm going to be traveling to Europe for a month! Visiting my home town in Bosnia, my birth place, Germany, and then Italy, Spain, Greece whatever i can visit in that month and i'm very excited for it! I work at Winn-Dixie as a customer service lead/cash office, i deal with customers on a daily basis and manage my front end, looking after my associates and making sure that everyone is doing what they are supposed to be doing! Also a huge part which is greeting, assisting and thanking customers, and i also deal with money, making sure everyone has enough and counting the registers at the end of my shift, doing reports, etc. My hobbies include, being outside and enjoying life, beach, nature, walks, gym, and makeup! I love doing makeup, its something i've been very good at for years now. I am a very friendly person, but i also am very shy, so i am working on that as well! I hope all of us will be successful in this class and i will see everyone next week!

In this module we really focused on how every work environment i definitely see more diversity in different work places so many people from all over different countries, it makes individuals feel comfortable and happy in an environment where it is a priority. There's definitely more equality then there was before in the workplace and encouraging workers from all sorts of backgrounds to feel in their skills and abilities to be the best.

We were asked about if companies should stick to using external agencies to recruit workers or if they should go back to doing it internal. The benefits of internal are that they know exactly who they want to hire. So when someone comes for an interview they will have a higher success rate of hiring the person.

The reason I believe that this is achievable is due to the fact that if they use their own people in their company to go through the process of finding an individual that fits their needs they will most likely have a better chance of finding the right fit much sooner.

In this last module we did, we had to post about Toyota and some of the recall issues that they were having. One of the questions that we had to answer was " is Toyota at fault for the issues they have been having". I absolutley believe they were at fault because you as a producer of a product have to stand behind it and make it right, whether its good or bad.

To be in control is not a good thing, no one likes to tell someone what to do and control them. Power means that you have the authority to do certain things that a regular employee may not be able to do.
