大家好，我是你们的老师！我叫李俐蓉(li3 li4rong2)，你可以叫我李老师。我是台湾人，在UBC教(jiao1, teach) 中文。在UBC教书以前，我在台湾和美国工作过。

CBCs are raised in Canada, thus making them generally more

openminded than their traditional Chinese parents. Since the parents of CBCs hold onto their traditional values, having rice for dinner everyday becomes a staple in a typical CBC’s household. CBCs’ parents are immigrants, so CBCs occasionally have to act as translators for their parents. As a result of being a CBC, they are torn between having two identities, one 

from their biological background, and one from the environment they grew up in. 

2. 口音 - 如果小时候在家只说中文，长大的时候学一门新的语言时会有口音。

3. 教育 - 教育方法有很大的区别。

4. 香蕉 - 香蕉是一个刻板印象。有时候有人会说我们“外面是黄的,里面是白的”。因为我们在外地长大，我们看上去像中国人，但是我们的态度和行为像外国人。

As a Chinese born Canadians, we call ourselves “CBCs”. This term is to represent all the Chinese who were born or raised in Canada, but grew up with immigrant parents. Growing up as a CBC, we are constantly helping our parents to translate things as English is their second language. CBCs are normally not as traditional as the parents since the kids were raised in Canada, all the traditions the parents grew up with were not the same for their kids. Although CBCs are Chinese, they are also Canadian which gives them 2 identity’s.

2.过年的气很热闹，大家都开开心心的。

3.除夕夜的时候，全家会“国炉”，吃汤圆。

4.吃年夜饭的时候，父母会给我红包。

5.吃完年夜饭的时候，我会陪家人打麻将，打牌。

6.有亲戚住在离这里很远的地方，不能一起过年。

7.会给在国外/国内的亲威打电话，我会用中文跟他们聊天，

8.给亲戚打电话的时候，他们都会一直问我念书念得怎么样？

我： 那么有，我上网学的。如果你也上网学，你一定会比我化的更好。

Veronika: 那我一定要试试啊。

我觉得我和Veronika的聊天很有意思，这是因为她是西方人，所以我赞杨她时，她只会同意我说的话，不会像中国人要谦虚。

我想当个有热情的主人。一是我招待朋友的时候我先会给他们吃最喜欢东西；二是我会跟他们聊天，一边聊他们最近做了什么一边看电视。最后我会准备晚饭和甜点吃，吃完我们一起可以玩博弈！
