On the rise of the internet and social media, we can say that it changes the interaction between humans in a drastic way. We have the opportunity to express our thoughts to a much larger audience, thanks to social media platforms. As we express ourselves in social media, we have discovered how to shorten our vocabulary for the easiest way to interface via internet, and as we constantly encounter this on our feeds, the more we adapt. Nonetheless, according to Allison Graham (2015), using shortened vocabulary is risking the loss of the refinement and intimate parts of personalities. Abbreviated vocabulary makes us not able to totally express ourselves. Losing vocabulary is losing our ability to express and communicate freely. The Internet makes us filter and can sometimes make us change ourselves to communicate with others. We may say that by the invention of the internet, it helps in making communication easier, but it changes how people interact with each other.

The more we talk about how technology divides us, the more we demand from it (Allison Graham, 2015). Technology is now a necessity to us and it affects our way of dealing with people around you. Technology has made it easy to keep extended communication logs. We can use technology to respond to others in the easiest and more efficient way. In spite of this, technology makes us constantly distracted. Since cyberspace has a lot to offer, we tend to use those and forget to respond and communicate.

Allison Graham (2015), you are clearly together but on their cell phone. Sometimes, technology makes us unsocial. We are more attached to the device than to a person. Some users get absorbed in browsing in social media apps or sites that cause them to become unsocial. But on the other hand, several users don't become unsocial because of social media since some of them contextualize being social is not just having a lot of friends but having a true companion. Having individuals that are genuinely happy and supporting them. They say that they've become more intelligent to socialize and to pick who they will socialize with. People who they count on in good and bad times. They’ve improved because of social media. They used to lose track of time by idly observing other people’s lives. And after some time, they concluded that being on it is useless. However, they said that they didn’t feel less lonely or more a part of the human race. That everyone else had perfect lives while he/she did not infuriate him/her.

We have the freedom to freely use social media but in some households, there is someone that will tell us the limitations of the usage of it and restrictions when it comes to online communication. Not being too attached and addicted to social media is one of the advice our parents use when it comes to the limitations of the usage of social media. With regard to the restrictions in communicating through online, we should be aware of social media and be careful of strangers online because it may cause danger.

Be mindful in utilizing the Internet. It can be advantageous and disadvantageous.
