A SUMMARY of your source. A summary highlights the main points and conclusions of each source in your own words. Shorter articles should be read in their entirety. For research / scholarly articles you should follow the scanning practices we went over in class and that you practiced in your Evaluating Scholarly Articles Activity.

An EVALUATION of each source. You should identify each source as either popular, scholarly, or trade. Then, in an evaluation, you should tell us how you identified each source as either popular, scholarly, or trade using some of the specific criteria we discussed in class (like authorship, audience, references, language, etc.)

A RESPONSE to each source. What did you think of the source? Was it easy to follow, why or why not? What did you make of its conclusions? Did you find this source helpful--more or less so than other sources--in addressing your research questions? Did it correspond to what you found in other sources, or offer a different perspective? Does it make you think of other ideas or questions? How does it connect to other knowledge you have on this topic?
