My name is Sheryl Lynn Varien.  I currently use She/Her/Hers pronouns but that could change as I am realizing that I am quite fluid. I am a member of a local Native American tribe called Ohlone Costanoan Esselen Nation. We are from Monterey County though I was born in Los Gatos and raised in Santa Clara. My Indian name is Little Deer and I like it because I try to emulate the characteristics of a little deer in my own personality. I am a Community Studies major and I plan on opening a nonprofit organization in the Santa Cruz County area. I am a total activist!
