The gender for the Deadpool is male as it is marvel and this is mainly aimed at men rather that women.

The age for Deadpool is teens and young adults (15-30), the lowest age being 15 because this is the rating of the film.

The sexuality of this film is more heterosexual as the film only shows straight relationships.

The interests of the target audience may be comics, comic conventions etc as this is something that is portrayed in marvel movies, across the board.

The location for this film would be anywhere that is english speaking, even though it was shown worldwide. This is because everyone in the film speaks english.

The ethnicity for deadpool is mainly white British/American this is shown in the film with the main characters being American.

The socio Economic scale of Deadpool is C2 and D. This is because the jobs portrayed in the film are labourers and this enables the audience to relate to the film.

The VALS of the film is believers as the audience may have moderate incomes, experiencers as the audience are quite youthful and may be constantly on the go.

Deadpool is aimed more at a mainstream audience. Marvel is an established, well known company across the world and this makes it mainstream. Not only that but it is aimed at quite a large age range and this also makes it mainstream.

Poster Analysis

Describe the font and explain why this type of font would be used.
The font that is used is quite youthful and young, this is used to attract a younger audience.

Explain why the poster is minimalistic.
The poster is minimalistic and this makes it more eye catching and also youthful. The lack of detail also means the poster is straight to the point and keeps the audience interested.

Explain why certain colours have been used in the poster.
The white background connotes to purity and heaven which makes the character more likeable. The pink on the rucksack invites a female audience but also connotes to fun and being quite childish which may attract comedy fans. The red suit has connotations of death and blood.

Discuss Iconography (weapons, Superhero costume) why are they used?
The use of weapons attracts a younger male audience because young boys are programmed to like guns etc from a young age as this is a stereotype. The rest superhero costume will attract superhero/marvel fans as this is quite stereotypical. The pose isn't stereotypical and shows the show has a sense of humour

Discuss the style of language and explain why it is targeted at a younger audience.
The language is useful as it uses informal language. Abbreviations are used in the date ad this fits in with snappy length of the tagline.

What other features does the Poster have which will make it appeal to a younger audience?
It lies on a white background and this makes Deadpool stand out and eye catching which makes the audience want to watch it.
