But what happens to Solomon when David excels? What would be his purpose in pursuing a political career he never wanted in the first place?

He dedicated most of his life to studying and politics, without stopping to rest. He would even have nosebleeds due to the overwork and powered through his exhaustion. This left him frustrated because his older brother breezed through political science as if it was easy and his younger brother was easily a genius amongst them. Only Solomon had grit his teeth and worked through everything.

So what becomes of him now? His brother successfully passed the civil service exam and is now working in the government, climbing up the ranks. His younger brother excelled so much in school that they were the same year with a 3-year age gap and is working as a political analyst in a reputable firm.

What is Solomon Park? Well, a wreck. Mentally, emotionally and physically.

Funnily enough, his car followed suit. He was caught in a drunk driving incident that ruined, not only his car, his focus in politics, but also his father's election campaign which, conveniently enough, was being used by the elder Park's political rival for self-gain and for Park Byungho to withdraw his candidacy.

His friends and classmates distanced themselves from him, except for a couple who knew it was so out of character for him to do. They even understood him more than his family. But that no longer reached Solomon. His depression was already getting the best of him.

For months, Solomon would never go out of his room. Rarely ate or slept. He no longer had any grasp of time and of himself, which had led to his mother finally reaching out to her son.

Even though she was silent in the way her husband raised their children, as a medical professional herself, she could already see her son was slowly deteriorating. Fearing that she would lose him to his mind, she urged him to seek help, and after much pushback, he took her advise and went to seek help.

His therapist had advised him to take a gap year which his mother also agreed to but Solomon refused, feeling like he would be wasting too much of his time if he did. He decided to shift to a much more laid back major, culinary arts since he liked to cook anyway and moved schools to be rid of the stigma around him being a failure and a disgrace.
