How are you? I hope you are still thriving in life despite of it being hard at times. As I write this letter to you, I face one of the many challenges that you will encounter in life, which is having a fever while there is a lot of cramming (I have two science quizzes tomorrow and a quiz in PerDev). Although you might say that whatever im going through right now is just a minor problem, but not gonna lie, I feel so weak. My physical, mental, and spiritual well-being is declining because I am so drained from schoolwork. But that's how I know how you always persevere if you're going to consider what im going through now as a minor problem. I hope you continue to live your life through the purpose Jesus has given you. Continue to have faith in Him and continue to love Him dearly just as how He loves you. Always remember your life verse, 1 John 4:4, for the giant in front of you is never bigger than the God inside of you. I am always rooting for you and I know that you will continue to reach for the stars.

Infancy

After 4 years of patience, my parents finally brought me into this world. With vivid memories of lying on my crib, snuggled with my favorite pink blanket and surrounded by my favorite stuffed toys, I always craved the love and comfort of life when i was a baby. I am forever grateful for having a blessed and loving family.

The one thing that sustains me is God. By reading His word and wrapping myself in the comfort of His love, I surpassed challenges I thought I could never overcome. Toddler Years

In the picture above, I was celebrating my first birthday! Around 7 months after turning one (1), I started to develop my reading and talking skills on my own (according to my mom) after learning how to walk! This showed how I became independent, which made my parents proud, especially since I wanted to be a big sister.

Early Childhood

My parents would always tell me that I was the happiest kid before. I was always smiling and would lift everyone's mood. when needed. I remember I was the one who comforted my mom when her dad died. I told her that she shouldn't be sad because tatay is in heaven. By this age, I was already mature given the expriences I had.

Elementary School Years

A lot of ups and downs happened during this era of mine. For the most part, I excelled in academics with high grades, and this was when my biggest prayer was answered. I became a big sister! These fulfilling moments came with moments of purging while I tried to navigate through new responsibilities God provided me.

Adolesence

This is me now. With a whole lot of things to figure out and more responsibilities to handle as I step into adulthood. However, I am blessed to be guided by the right people. I deeply appreciate the school's integration of the subject Personal Development as it made me gain foundational values and concepts about the self, others, and the community. Through self-realizations and application of the topics using the well-designed written works that concretely has application of the topics other than memorization of terms that will be forgotten after taking a quiz and the exam, I believe that this subject has been more than helpful not only to fulfill my education but to fulfill my soul.

2.) What were your key takeaways from the subject?

My key takeaways from the subject can be classified into 2 parts: the self and others. First, the concepts about the self were highlighted in ways of understanding the self, taking care of the self, and improving the self. Being able to have a healthy relationship with oneself will help in achieving success. Just like the saying, "you cannot give what you don't have," not being able to have values for yourself makes it impossible to share the said values to others (love, respect, etc.). In relation to this, I also learned concepts about fixing relationships, maintaining relationships, and developing relationships. These concepts can help me in the present time as a daughter, student, and as a professional in the future.

The two topics that are my favorite are personal and social relationships as well as family structures and legacies. Understanding these topics made me realize that we human beings are made to be social and to have relationships. Starting with personal and social relationships, I was able to appreciate and realize the different relationships, love styles, etc. Lastly, with the concept about family, I was able to appreciate the different types of families that each and every person has.
