I enjoyed the parts on pregnancy and found it pretty incredible that even the stress we go through during pregnancy can have an impact on our children. &nbsp;<br>Thank you Becky and Christy for introducing this book to us!<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Becky and Christy, you both did a fantastic job reviewing this book with us and finding resources to support a healthy life style. We are all aware how important stress free living, good nutrition, and exercise is for our body. However, this book made me think of what is happening within the body when all these factors are not the best. I am trying to get to bed earlier each night. I am a night owl and have to force myself to close the book and turn off the light.  I am not a sweet eater but I have to have my one coke each morning. I am not a coffee drinker so my one coke works for me. I am going to work to give it up. Thank you, Jan</title>

         <title>Becky and Christy first of all I need to thank you for suggesting such a timely and powerful book. It really does boil down to taking care of ourselves so that we can be better present for our students and our families.  I cannot stress the importance of this for my family as well.  I already am implementing simple changes within my family that are already paying off! Thanks for this introduction and new found support system within our own school community!</title>

         <title>We&#39;ve been hearing the words mindfulness, meditation, and telomeres.  The book was timely as it explained and clarified the words.  Thanks to Becky and Christy we have a better understanding.  We like how you shared additional resources.  We think it affirmed what we knew about stress, diet, and exercise.  You really helped us to get a clearer picture.  We need to care for self, so we can be the best we can be for our family, colleagues and children</title>

I have found the distancing technique, where I narrate my thoughts from the 3rd person (&quot;she is ____&quot; instead of &quot;I am _____&quot;) is especially helpful!</title>

         <title>What a great book!  This was really a book filled with so much useful information. I learned that positivity is the road to a happy and healthy life. Being able to have the ability to cope with stress in addition to having the ability to not be reactive to negativity is so important. Keeping connected to what makes you happy and giving yourself the time you deserve is medicine for the brain. I hope to learn more about health benefits from different foods and incorporate more strength training and core building to my schedule.  Since I have gotten my puppy I do take time to enjoy the walks because it gives me a lot of time to think about what’s important in life.  The simple sounds of birds chirping , the sights of beautiful trees and flowers ,the smell of families making dinner,  and fireplaces burning are so simple pleasures yet overlooked. Everyday is a blessing and it is important we teach th kids how to be happy!</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When I first received the book I thought the content was going to be well over my head.&nbsp; After the first chapter I was so into this new learning I couldn't put the book down and ignored the pages we were to read to and read the whole book!&nbsp; I want to thank Becky and Christy for bringing this book to me.&nbsp; I thoroughly enjoyed it!&nbsp; I never knew what telemores were and how they affect our life.&nbsp; Now, I will be more conscience of the decisions I make when it comes to food, sleep, exercises, etc.&nbsp; Stress reduction has always been&nbsp; difficult for me.&nbsp; It's nice to have learned more information on how to do this.-    Laura F.</div>]]></description>

         <title>What a great reminder that in order to help others (students, families, etc.) we need to keep our own body, mind and spirit healthy!  I have incorporated some stress-reducing yoga, making use of &quot;Yoga by Adrienne.&quot;   Additionally, I have tried to put a cap on my at-home school work and spend more rejuvenating time with my family.  Along with this same goal, I have been going to bed earlier, in an effort to get 7 hours of sleep each night.  Thank you for hosting a great book study!</title>

There are definitely some changes with my daily routine I need to make to extend my telomeres. Thank you for all the additional resources you have shared. I plan on taking some supplements to help with my diet and make other changes with my diet. I also would like to start incorporating yoga into my exercise routine to help with breathing and my mind.          <description><![CDATA[<div>To exercise will be the key<br>Eat right<br>Sleep right<br>And stress release!<br>So according to the telomere trajectory assessment in Part 3, I am at high risk in all areas.  This summer I plan to find an exercise program I can do - like water aerobics.  Hopefully, I will have more time to prepare healthy foods.  I like being a night owl, so sleep patterns will be a little harder to adjust.  A little change in habits might lengthen my telomeres and allow me to see a great grand child or two!  Thanks for the info, ladies!  Especially the insight into how we can help our students.  Tammie Bortner<br> </div>]]></description>
