I can count in my head even when there are hard rhythms and tempos. I also have gotten better at playing triplets and slurs. I noticed that when I practice more on my own I get better at counting. For instance in a song where I might come in at the same time as the violas I would normally just listen for them to start playing but on my own I count and come in on time. I also learned that I'm a little more confident as a individual performer and prefer to practice alone.
