While watching the video, I was reminded of the importance of being intentional with our students, and just taking a few moments out of the day to lift up a student who has made our day brighter. It is something that takes less than 5 minutes and can turn the day around for both student and teacher. I believe that people who embody hope can effect positive change in our students and in our world citizens  one person at a time. I also couldn't help but think that sometimes our most difficult students are the most in need of hope and belief. With a few words, we have the power to crush or to uplift, to raise the bar or to lower it, and to inspire confidence or induce despair. May we choose wisely with each interaction.

Our words and actions are powerful. Students need to see that we believe in them because it helps them believe in themselves. Our children learn everything from the adults around them.
