         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Native Americans became involved in the conflict of 1812  to secure British support against the US.  The Native Americans led by Tecumseh, lost against the US in the battle of Thames in October 1813.  The Native Americans suffered great losses and could never again find external allies or threaten to roll back the American frontier.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The battle of Thames and Horseshoe Bend was a marked the end of any positive outcome for the Native Americans from the war of 1812.<br>That was the last time Native Americans went to war with a powerful European ally to defend there native land.  Many Native Americans died during that war but the biggest loss they suffered was the loss of their leader Tecumseh.  He remains a Native American hero to this day who personifies intertribal unity, humanity in war, and military leadership to his people.</div>]]></description>
