I learned that people like to write about different things in different variations. Whether it’s an essay, a social media post, or a debate, everyone has a different type of writing style that configures to them. People write so they can influence or teach their readers, and every different writing style is an example of that.

Today I learned that I may not like to write long essays but I do enjoy writing Journals and other forms to help express myself. Sometimes when I’m faced with challenges in writing, I try to take a step back and retrace my steps. This helps me regather my thoughts and hopefully come up with a solution Just taking a moment to think typically helps me write better. When I was younger, I would write stuff carelessly and post it on social media without thinking about how it might make others feel.

Today I learned that when writing about myself I tend to include my family and friends. I feel that this is because of how much impact they have on who I am and how I see myself. I also realized that when writing I tend to write for a grade instead of truly enjoying the experience.

I realized that I do enjoy writing more than I realized. I had such a small viewpoint when I considered if I was a writer. Once I realized that both journaling and social media was included I realized writing is in fact something I do for fun daily. When journaling you’re able to focus on yourself due to the reflective tone it sets. It’s easier to think about your end goals and stay resilient. I run an instagram page called @cultivateyourcourage on which I post motivational quotes, agricultural updates, and my mental health story to help impact whoever reads it.
