         <description><![CDATA[<div>Mauritius has similar system like Singapore's SingPass which is called MauPass that gives access to many Government services.&nbsp; There is also Certification Authority (Mausign) for digital certificates which can be used for electronic document signature that is recognized by law.<br>Challenges - Persons are not aware of the systems and are not technologically advanced in using the systems.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>T&amp;T - similar to Singapore integrated system (TTCONNECT) for all government services, birth certificate, passport, drivers permit and e-tax. &nbsp;<br>Challenges - same as Mauritius<br><br>Palau - there is a system for job applications and government website for vacancy notices and employee services.&nbsp; Training Government employees to develop services and technology.<br><br>Laos - No systems for integrated government services, in the process of developing digital services. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Azerbaijan&nbsp;<br>Strategy - public service centers named ASAN opened from 2012, eGov Data Exchange System are created in 2013, MyGov citizen's portal in 2018, government owned Data Centre opened in 2016,&nbsp; G-Cloud concept in 2019&nbsp; &amp; G-Cloud migration plan in 2020 approved, Smart City &amp; Village concept prepared and submitted to the gov in 2021, digital signature project started in 2022.&nbsp;<br>Challenges- Finance, get rid of paper, public service all digital, more openness of data, big data analytics, smart city and village infrastructure.<br><br>Namibia<br>Strategy - Email system for gov&nbsp; 1998. E gov policy in 2005. Dept of IT Management to manage eGov project&nbsp; in 2014. National population register in 2014. Data protection and cybersecurity laws are still in draft. E-transaction Act is enacted.&nbsp;<br>Challenges - Budget constraints, low adoption of ICT applications, low level of ICT literacy.<br><br>Brunei&nbsp;<br>Strategy - BruHIMS was launched in 2012. TAFIS (financial system) in 2018. BruHealth (for Covid19) in 2020. Working Digital ID, Land Payment System, Intelligent Transport System, etc by 2025.<br>Challenges - Low rate of manpower, low rate of IT literacy and education. Currently the Gov is providing subsidiary for the citizens to attend IT courses to produce more technically skilled IT people.<br><br>Philippines<br>Strategy - National ID system and others have started to digitalize. Policy, laws, on data privacy and cybersecurity are already present.&nbsp;<br>Challenges - bureaucracies in agencies, hard to convert manually intensive processes. Skillset not widely available.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Q1.<br>1.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Rwanda- we have Irembo e-gov platform with over 100&nbsp;</div><div>2.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Vietnam&nbsp; - public service delivered through mobile applications through a software called Ondoa</div><div>3.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Nigeria -&nbsp; use a web app where miners pay royalties without going to banks/office, it's used for payments and other features, and operates as a back-office for miners to aggregate their data&nbsp;</div><div>4.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Japan – have e-patient information system; rolling out national ID and currently collecting citizen biometrics</div><div>5.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Tajikistan – e-gov framework and set up a dedicated institution for it<br><br></div><div><strong>Qn. 2<br></strong><br></div><div>1.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Rwanda – Usage of existing infrastructure and services has been low and had limited digital skills; we are solving this through subsidized device and data packages and providing 3 tiered digital skills trainings for citizens</div><div>2.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Nigeria – digital infrastructure not deployed widely (still a lot of ground to cover) &amp; inadequate power supply in the country, ignorance which limit digital service delivery and uptake, working on sensitizing public and deploying it collaborating with private sector using fiber&nbsp;</div><div>3.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Japan – low connectivity, lack of coordination for implementation, low rate of adoption, skills, low internet, limited budget</div><div>-&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Have wide deployment of connectivity ongoing</div><div>-&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; been more intentional with resource mobilization</div><div>5.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Tajikistan – focused on providing internet connection first<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We have very similar e-services with Bahrain and Brunei. Everyone in our group demonstrated the way the government's e-gov services are offered.&nbsp; In terms of the digitalization of government, we are all in different stages and our governments developed their digitalization strategies for years ahead. I gave a few information about Uzbekistan's "Digital Uzbekistan 2030" nationwide strategy.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Botswana is in the process of digitalizing their services especially those used by the public.&nbsp; Currently the country plans to start with 40 services hosted on the cloud as a pilot project.&nbsp; Services such as passport, drivers permit, birth and death certificates, e-tax, e-law, etc<br><br>Challenges faced are internet coverage in the country is limited and unreliable internet access due to cuts and bandwidth problems.  Also the public are not technology  advanced and they do not have gadgets to access the e-services when available.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>To overcome the challenges the country have started connectivity at urban and rural villages at post offices and major gathering places. The government have started the awareness programmes on e-services.</div>]]></description>
