I was always writing and drawing pictures, making little books. My mom always gave me questions and prompts for my writing since I was six.

She taught me so much and really made me want to learn and come into class every day. Her past students would visit her during our class sometimes and they would be in highschool or college and would knock on her door. It always amazed me how she remembered every single student, their names, favorite things, families.  To this day, I still use stuff she was teaching me in second grade and third grade in my own writing.

I wrote stories, personal narratives, anything that came to mind. I was learning about descriptive language in school, things like show not tell, metaphors and similes. In school english class was still my favorite part of the day.
