         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>If the object's density is <mark>less than the density of water</mark> (e.g., 0.5 g/cm³), it will <mark>float on the water's surface</mark> because the water exerts an upward force (buoyancy) on the object, which is greater than the force of gravity pulling it downward.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>The object displaces a volume of water equal to its own weight, and it stays afloat.</p></li><li><p>If the object's <strong><mark>density is equal to the density of water </mark></strong>(1 g/cm³), it will <strong><mark>hang suspended halfway in the water</mark></strong>. This is because the buoyant force is equal to its weight.</p></li><li><p>If the object's <mark>density is greater than the density of water, it will sink</mark>, and the depth of sinking will depend on the difference in densities because the gravitational force pulling it down is stronger than the buoyant force pushing it up.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>The depth to which the object sinks will depend on the difference in densities between the object and the water.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Heavier objects will sink deeper.</p></li></ul>]]></description>
