         <description><![CDATA[<div>The distinctive features of chickenpox are a rapidly progressive polymorphic eruption from <strong>rose-coloured macules</strong> to <strong>papules, vesicles, pustules and crusts. </strong><br><br></div><div>The generalised itchy rash appears in crops, which typically first appear a few days after the onset of the prodromal fever and malaise. <br><br></div><div>The distribution of the rash is variable, but lesions usually appear centrally on the face and trunk before spreading to the limbs. As lesions begin to heal and scab over, new peripheral lesions develop. Complete resolution of the rash is expected within two weeks of the onset of signs and symptoms, and most lesions heal without scarring.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Chickenpox usually follows a mild, self limiting course in otherwise healthy children.<br><br></div><div>Following exposure to VZV, patients typically experience generalised systemic upset, such as nausea, myalgia, fever and reduced appetite, before the appearance of skin lesions which is the the <strong>incubation period up to 21 days.<br></strong><br></div><div>The <strong>infectious period is typically 8-10 days.</strong> The virus is highly contagious in the <strong>2-3 days </strong>preceding the appearance of the rash and persists until all the vesicles have crusted over. This is clinically important when considering the spread of infection to vulnerable groups, such as immunocompromised children, pregnant women or neonates, who may benefit from administration of Varicella Zoster immunoglobulin following exposure.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chickenpox is caused by Human Herpes Virus 3 which also known as Varicella Zoster Virus. It commonly infecting children, teenager and young adult. When a person is healed from the symptoms of chickenpox, the virus will stay in the body and can be reactivated back in adulthood. Once it is reactivated, it is no called as chickenpox but, shingles.</div>]]></description>
