Similar to a geyser.</p><p><strong>PH: </strong>3-5</p><p><strong>Zones: </strong>Bethic Zone</p><p><strong>Dominant Animal and Unique Adaptation: </strong>Yeti Crab, they eat bacteria that live in/on animals, a predator-prey interaction. </p><p><strong>Dominant Bacteria and Unique Adaptation:  </strong>Chemosynthetic microbes are bacteria that live in hydrothermal deep sea vents. They use chemical energy to combine carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen into sugar molecules.</p><p><strong>Invasive Species: </strong>Lionfish, lionfish are an invasive species to the deep sea, they eat many different fish that are helpful to the environment and it ruins the ecosystem.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Student Name:</strong> Jack Van Hoorn</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Chaparral Biome Definition:</strong>&nbsp;A type of woodland with warm weather and short, hardy shrubs located all around the world. In other places, it is called other things than the Chaparral.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Average Temperature: </strong>In summer, the Chaparral can have temperature ranges of 120℉ to 30℉ (48.9℃ to -1℃). In Winter, the temperature stays around 50℉ (10℃.) In both winter and summer, the temperature reaches its lows during the night</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Average Annual Precipitation: </strong>Chaparral Biome has an average annual precipitation of 10-17 inches (25.4 cm to 43.18 cm). Most of this occurs in the winter</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Animal: </strong>San Joaquin Fox</p><p><strong>Structure: </strong>Padded Feet and Large Ears</p><p><strong>Benefits of that structure: </strong>These adaptations keep the fox cool during the hot days in the summer.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Plant: </strong>Mountain Mahogany</p><p><strong>Structure: </strong>During droughts, the plant will shrink in size</p><p><strong>Benefits of that Structure: </strong>Shrinking in size allows this plant to conserve water.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Invasive Species: </strong>Wild Pig</p><p>The wild pig eats and destroys plants of the Chaparral.
