I think Mansa Musa is the richest man of all time because every source that we have looked at has said that he was the richest man who has ever lived. From giving countless gifts to people to being responsible for more than 50 percent of the world's salt and gold at his time, according to some of the sources, Mansa Musa definitely had an enormous amount of wealth.

1. This is an informational document. It was created by Abraham Cresques in 1375.

2. The blog post by The Huffington Post depicts Mansa Musa as the richest man in the world of all time while Document B depicts him as "the richest and most noble king in all the land."

3. I think that this is an accurate depiction of Mansa Musa because it shows an image from around the time period at which he lived and it has a reliable source.

1. Al-Umari was a historian from Damascus, Syria. He is not a reliable source because he came after Mansa Musa's journey.

2. Document C is not accurate because Al-Umari was not a primary source for Mansa Musa's pilgrimage; he could have gotten his information from other people.

3. The emir Abu describes describes Mansa Musa to Al-Umari as extremely rich and courteous. We know this because Mansa Musa gave many riches to the emir Abu.

4. I do not think that Al-Umari's description of Mansa Musa is accurate because Al-Umari is not a primary source.
