Abe Smith is a 47-year-old man who is color blind and was texting and driving whenever he got into a car accident, resulting in the loss of one of his legs. He has been reporting chronic pain and has been having trouble at work; additionally, he has been calling in sick and showing up late. Abe has trouble remembering the new system at work, frequently forgetting things. He cannot remember the accident itself, yet can vividly remember what song was playing.
