If the soldiers didn't fight for us, Singapore will not be a peaceful place and we will not have good education. Therefore, we should be grateful of them fighting during the J.O and be thankful.

However, their graves are placed here since the people who buried them knew that they contributed to protecting this country. For all we could know, maybe one of them are related to us but unfortunately we would not know. It's a pity that most of them were not able to experience a normal, long life and have a family of their own like for those who were just young adults. As for the older ones, they were unable to spend a lot of time with their own family, having to properly raise their children and growing old with their partners.

-Ervina (I4)]]> 2019-05-28 14:05:12 UTC https://padlet.com/elsashalina92/clv3akh6plcc/wish/364026983 https://padlet.com/elsashalina92/clv3akh6plcc/wish/364048240 I find what will happen to the Kranji War Memorial site when Singapore runs out of space to build intriguing.Will they dig out the fallen soldiers bodies out?Or will they leave it there and try to gain new land?Both ways would hurt singapore as it is double edged sword if one of the two actions were done.If they chose to dig out the bodies,it would be ironic as they buried the soldiers bodies there out of respect,but isn’t digging it back out for more space a disrespectful action?If they chose to leave it there,Singapore would have to go through the struggle of fighting to be able to reclaim more land.It may even cause deaths from riots over space and increasing prices of properties.But didnt the soldiers fight for the future generations peace?So we are still disrespecting them in the end...being ungrateful of their actions and sacrifices.

It shows me how it was the same day but our fate’s on that day were totally different. Additionally, I was shocked by the young age of this solider when he died and admire how brave he was to fight for his country making major sacrifices at such a young age. Thinking about it, It also disappoints me that I do not think that those in their late teens to early twenties these days will do the same as they will be too selfish and push the problem to someone else rather than fight for their country.]]> 2019-05-28 15:47:41 UTC https://padlet.com/elsashalina92/clv3akh6plcc/wish/364065709 https://padlet.com/elsashalina92/clv3akh6plcc/wish/364186316 i was actually shocked because i didnt know jewish people fought too. its really surprising because there are a lot of different races and religion who fought together. they're all reaching for one goal and its amazing how they still can interact and communicate with each other despite their language. i honestly feel thankful for them. without them, we wouldnt be what we are now. they sacrificed themselves for us and did not have a good life so that we can have a good ife now. but i also feel ashamed because we are not appreciating what they did and instead we're just ignoring what had happened and enjoy our own life. we should at least appreciate them.
