It is hard for anyone to have ever heard anything about the so-called pavlova. Among New Zealand desserts, this is undoubtedly the best known. The meringue base always tastes more neutral. In addition, a topping of berries or some fruit cream

The curious thing about this dessert is its creation. Australians and New Zealanders are always in dispute over deciding the pavlova's real country of origin. Disagreements aside, the candy was named after the Russian dancer Anna Pavlova. She performed in both countries playing “The Swan Death” around 1925. The role became so memorable that it yielded this delicious dessert - consumed worldwide to this day.

Like pavlova, the origin of lamington is also uncertain. Some say it is in Australia. However, some also believe that its true creation took place in New Zealand. Since we are not here to take sides, let's be content with the idea that this is a traditional dessert from both countries.

The sweet is nothing more than a sponge cake dumpling, topped with a chocolate and coconut syrup. They are very simple ingredients, but they make a dessert.
