We analysed the script in aim to have the same understanding of the messages, motives and background intentions as a group. We all discussed each of the three parts of the material and brainstormed the ideas of how we want to portray it on the stage. We started looking for symbols and themes which then led to creating a deeper concept and signs that we wanted to explore. In the process of decisions making, our director Emily carefully discussed with us her aesthetics and the way she wants to expand the project adding movement in order to progress it further. Here are some scans of the script and the notes that helped us working on a unison but also the punctuation marks and emphasising of words. I am forever grateful to both Emily and Ioli for their trust and believing in me. I have never felt so much support from the artists I have never worked with before. I think that an open discussion is a very important key element in creating a piece and I never experienced such understanding and support. As a second year Acting and Performance student I can say I am proud of my work and during working on this project I have proven myself of my values and understanding of post dramatic arts. I learned a lot of useful tools from Emily about constructing a project using the text and I am hoping to bring this ideas into my workshop in the future. As a non-binary person playing a non-gendered character in the piece/ performance had a very important impact on my arts and personal life.
