I know a lot about animals, but I never thought I'd be trapped on a lifeboat with a whole bunch of them. It's been days, and I can feel my strength slowly leaving me. Despite all that Orange Juice has done, I don't know if I can survive this.

Paragraph: For the usernames, I tried to create puns based on the animal names and the things they do in the book. Pi's name is based on Pi's relation to circles, as Pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. In Hinduism, a circle is a holy symbol used to represent the universe and referred to as a mandala, so I combined the two into a username. MamaZ for the zebra is based on the theory I have (or heard about) that the zebra is Pi's mom. Hyenaeata is just based on how the hyena eats all the animals, and how hyenaeata kind of rhymes. OrangeYouGladImHere is based on the name for the orangutan, that being Orange Juice, and the joke "Orange you glad I ________". Tiger Man is based on Spider-Man; this is due to both Richard Parker and Peter Parker having the same last name, so they would have the same superhero name. I chose the "Wellerman" as my song becuase of the similar sea elements from both the song and the book, as well as the overall moody tone of the song.

Here I am with Ravi, Papa, and Mama saying our last goodbyes before we leave India to go to Canada.

This is my PSA to everyone who didn’t know but I am unfortunately moving to the North Pole. All the ruckus here is making my dad scared, so we are moving to canada :( I can’t believe that we are leaving so soon tho.. i will miss these crazy animals and my comfy bed ☹️ It is lowkey such a bittersweet moment bc ik canada will be fun but i am going to miss all of you guys and india sooososooo much #TheBestPlaceOnEarth #PondicherryZooOntop #LowkBecomingColonized

I am most proud of my illustration, which depicts Pi and his family at the Pondicherry zoo right before they leave. It represents their “goodbye moment”, and also included Orange Juice and a random bear. I also liked the song I picked by Billie Eilish because her songs usually have sorrowful melody and tone. This specific song has the lyric “Don't wanna say goodbye” which truly encapsulates how Pi feels in this moment. The lyric “Can't change the weather, might not be forever” also describes Pi’s circumstances. The song also has themes of connecting deeply with someone or something and the fact that the main lyric “Birds of a Feather” is a saying that comes from an animal, makes the song even more fitting as this shows Pi’s deep connection with the zoo. Additionally, I liked how I made his mom and dad have similar matching usernames.

I'm gonna miss the Pondi cherry zoo or one of my favorite places ever and i'm gonna miss being with the animals but i do know Canada will be fun and I know you guys wish you could go to canada but don't worry i'll make sure to post more for you guys.

The part of my post that i'm most proud of would be my song choice and the reason being is I put the most about of thought intoo that to make sure the song and what the song was about actually matched what the novel reflects.I would say I used my group members for inspiration and they helped with what I did but a creative thing that I did that I liked was the liked by ravi and others i feel like it gives it a more realistic feel like it's an actual post

I'm most proud of the song cause it makes a lot of sense being from the story and it would be a good song at the near end of the movie, the picture depicts the raft drifting towards Mexico but still from pretty far out. My group gave a lot of inspiration, I think this represents Pi well because he didn't do much on the way to Mexico and a post would make sense if he were to have a phone. And I made Richard Parkers username not super creative because usually names on actual socials are just plain like that so it feels more realistic.
