An idea of theme is the perpetual constant of the story depending on the story and what it chooses will be the one thing that is more and more prevalent which could be of any word or idea like for most dystopian films and stories usually a theme is corporate corruption it is the biggest issue in the world of were human progression was used for profits and dichotomy of the world, or stories were racism is the core front a constant event of we’re systemic racism harms an individual from growing in reality by using we’re they come from or whom they live or associate with. Another good theme would be in places were violence or survival is the theme like books such as hatchet or to build a fire by jack London these two books show how ruthless the wilderness can be with hatchet and the main character having to survive the wild dealing with starvation dehydration learning how to survive and thrive in an unforgiving world unlike How to build a fire in which that book focuses on the theme of how freezing cold snow easily hurts and attacks us as humans it’s main character dies after many tries at survival being forced to do what he needs for survival in a unforgiving environment he cannot thrive because the wilderness cannot accept him.

Theme is what something is about. I think “The Giver” is about conflict, unfairness, controlling, war, etc. An example of a theme is everything is not always what it seems.

||===========☆===========||

As was stated in the video , there is a very fine line between UTOPIA and DYSTOPIA . A line that a lot of people don’t. Realize is there . At time where everything might seem perfect , like in the giver , there is little to no room for imperfection . In the giver it doesn’t broaden on other communities being affected by the “ organized “ and “ meticulous “ rules that are in place . What about queer people ? People of of color ? People who have life altering imperative disorders / illnesses . People who struggle with mental illness ? What about mood altering disorders ? There’s a lot to consider when looking into the worlds that we read about .
