 I enjoyed this book because it was easy to read and understandable.

I didn’t have too many problems with vocabulary or grammar. Even if it’s a simplified version, the emotions and important moments of the original play are still present, so it’s a great strength of the book.

I found the exercises at the end of each chapter helpful to remember the story.

I also appreciated the cultural dossiers about life in Shakespeare’s time and Fair Verona.

In conclusion, Romeo and Juliet is a perfect romantic book for everyone that needs an easy and fluent romance to read to improve his English or for relaxation.

I don’t really enjoy this book because I don’t like love story. I also think that the story unfolds too quickly.

Despite this I recommend this book to student that like love story and want to improve their level of English.

The main theme of the story is love versus hate. There are also ideas about destiny, family pressure, violence, and the danger of secrets.

Even if this edition is simplified, the story is still emotional. The footnotes were very useful because they explained new words and helped me to understand the text without a dictionary.

My favorite part was when Romeo and Juliet meet at the Capulet party. It was romantic and magical, even in simple English. But I found some parts in the middle a bit slow, especially the parts without the main characters.

I really enjoyed how “Romeo and Juliet” explores important themes like the power of love, the inevitability of Fate and the social division. I don’t usually enjoy romantic stories very much, but this caught my attention because it goes beyond just love and it also covers deeper aspects of human nature and society. This book explains the duality of love: on one side it brings connection and passion, on the other side it leads to secrecy and tragedy. I think this book is perfect for people of my age because it isn’t complicated to read, it also has some exercises at the end of every chapter and some interesting in-depth analysis.

However, I was a little disappointed by how some secondary characters weren't fully developed, as they sometimes felt more like fixtures in the main trio's world than individuals in their own right. Personally, I also found it difficult to relate to their romanticized, rebellious "teenage dream" lifestyle of constant rule-breaking, which at times felt a bit idealized.

Despite this, the book's raw and honest exploration of life's big questions is deeply thought-provoking. It’s a novel that doesn’t offer easy answers, which is its greatest strength. I would highly recommend Looking for Alaska to anyone who enjoys authentic, character-driven stories about complex emotions and the turbulent journey of growing up. It is a funny, gripping, and ultimately moving novel that truly stays with you long after you finish the final page.

Like we were saying earlier the book takes place in the Cold Mountain prison, the story is told by one of the main characters Paul Edgecombe who's now old and lives in a hospice, in the meantime, to avoid memory loss, he's recalling the things happened in the 30s when a new prisoner arrived, John Coffey, another main character who's accused of a terrible crime against two little girls. From that moment in which Coffey entered the Green Mile, weird things start to happen and through the whole book Paul Edgecombe and his colleagues, Percy Wetmore, Harry Terwilliger and Brutus Howell try to understand all the mysteries.

I read this book during the summer holidays and I found it really fascinating since I never read anything by Stephen King. The book is really long, around six hundred pages but above that I found the writing really easy and entertaining. The start is a bit slow because the writer is setting the story but after the first fifty pages or so, the story starts to flow and it becomes really fascinating.

I really enjoyed the scene changes between the 30s, the life in the prison and the problems in the society of that time and the present life of the main character where he describes his new way of life as an old man in a hospice.

In the end it's a really good book that I recommend for the summer time when, maybe, there's a bit more time to enjoy the intricate story that surrounds this book. I think that adults could really find this book interesting but also teenagers if they like the 30s and the whole prison and death penalty topic, I don't recommend it if someone is sensitive about the death topic that's described in a few occasions.
