Hello, my name is Rodrigo and today I am going to talk to you about the Tacna day party. People always celebrate Tacna Day on August 28th. They gather to watch the military parade in downtown and only women carry out a procession of the Peruvian flag. Once the parade is over, we usually eat typical food from the region such as Picante a la Tacneña and many other dishes.

Day of the Lord of Locumba

One of my favorite things to celebrate is the Day of the Lord of Locumba in Peru on September 14th. In the morning, pilgrims from various cities frequently start arriving and participating in processions and masses. Then, in the afternoon, people often enjoy traditional foods like rocoto relleno and adobo, and they usually wear brightly colored skirts, blouses, and traditional hats. Finally, in the evening, the festivities regularly continue with prayers and hymns. It’s a lot of fun!
