This was a PD given by my school, but I found it helpful still. The PD was actually about Padlet (this platform) and while I have seen it plenty of times before in the past, having the school walk me through how they want to see it used kind of green lit it for me to use in my own lesson, which I actually did today (and I used for a formal observation)

Last reading I did w my team was one about ways to pull lived experiences of students into our lesson planning and overall engagement with them. - Reese

I also recently read a chapter of teaching math to elementary and middle school kids, where the focus was on the purpose of assessment and how to use assessment. It also outlines the National standards for assessment, when to do assessments and how assessments can further inform our practice.

The meeting consisted of 3rd and 4th grade teachers having a review about the soon-to-be-implemented Journey brand for ELA. They looked at how to navigate the website, accessing teacher and student material and so on. It was due to the removal of I think Teacher's Choice brand.

I may be striving to be a chemistry teacher but I'm am passionate about learning more about certain political agendas and the history about how it came to be. A podcast that I am immersing myself in is called NPR's throughline. I believe this helps me not only as a teacher but on a personal level. I believe I can somehow integrate history into chemistry. I don't how but I believe it in my heart I can do it. The more I am knowledgeable in different cultures and their history, the more I can understand how I can engage them and inspire them. (I may sound naive, it's all good though)
