Students completed the Unit 5 - Let's Measure assessment.

Students started with Unit 6 - All about bugs.

Students will practice to use the preposition of location (at, in, on).

Students will use question words.

Next week:

Students will continue Unit 6 - All about bugs.

Students will read and understand a text about insects and spiders.

Students will compare how animals are similar and different in their body parts.

Maths

This week:

This week, students will be using rounding to support estimating the answer to a question. They will also be consolodating their learning of fact families and doubling numbers. They have been solving more challenging questions with addition and subtraction inverse.

Next week:

Next week, we will be using doubling and multiplication facts. Students will be able to learn that 2 x 2 is the same as 2 + 2.

Science

This week:

This week, students completed an experiment to test different materials. They made a prediction, tested different objects to find out about their properties and wrote a conclusion.

Next week:

Next week, the students will be learning how to use a bar graph to represent their data they found in their experiment. Key words to practice: experiment, chart, graph, prediction, transparent, opaque, absorbent, waterproof, hard, soft.

GP

This week:

Students began with challenge 4 - My country, your country.

Students discussed what they love about their country. What they do in their free time - where they like to visit and what they like to eat.

Next week:

Students will continue with challenge 4 - My country, your country

Students identified Vietnam on a map and practiced identifying the continents.

Students discussed some similarities and differences between the countries.
