I think that the author included this quote from Gitanjali because she wants to reach out to other people and let them know that theyr'e not alone. also because, she wants to let people know that nothing in life is ever going to be easy and that no-matter how many times you fall down and feel that theres no hope , that your not getting anywhere that you actually are and are progressing and overcoming new obstacals.
