         <description><![CDATA[<p>The 2006 Act provides a new vetting and barring scheme to replace the existing arrangements for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults from harm, or the risk of harm, by employees and volunteers whose work gives them significant access to these vulnerable groups. The Safeguarding Vulnerable Children Act 2006 applies to individuals working with young people and vulnerable people in schools, youth groups, and other social settings.</p><p>the setting must complete checks such as DBS' to ensure a safe working recruitment.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>the female genital mutilation act is the offence of assisting a girl to carry out female genital multilation on herself while also creating extra territorial offences to deter people from taking girls aboard for multilation. </p><p>to reflect the serious harm caused, the 2003 act increased the maximum penalty for any of the female genital multilation offences from five to 14 years imprisonment.</p><p>the 4 main types of female genital mutilation are; type l- ciltoridectomy (which is partial or total removal of the ciltoris and/or the prepuce), type ll- excision, type lll- infibulation, type lV other. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Children and Families Act 2014</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This act works to keep Children safe. It gives good support to children and young people with special educational needs. As well as supporting their families and giving parents or guardians assistance.  </p><p>In regards to an educational setting, this act makes sure any children with home issues, mental health issues or disabilities are catered for and their families. </p><p>Including things like adoption, family justice, childcare and child welfare.  Mentioned in the SEND code of practise, this gives families and children more control over their choices.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Everyone responsible for using personal data has to follow strict rules called 'data protection principles'. they must make sure the information is: </p><ul><li><p>used fairly and lawfully </p></li><li><p>used in a way that is adequate, relevant and limited to only what is necessary </p></li><li><p>handled in way that ensures appropriate security, including protection against unlawful or unauthorised processing, access, loss, destruction or damage. </p></li></ul><p>There is a stronger legal protection for more sensitive information such as: </p><ul><li><p>race</p></li><li><p>ethnicity </p></li><li><p>political opinions </p></li><li><p>religious beliefs</p></li><li><p>genetics</p></li><li><p>health </p></li><li><p>sexual orientation </p></li><li><p>biometrics </p></li><li><p>sex/ gender</p></li></ul><p>There are seperate safeguards for personal data relating to criminal convictions and offences. </p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <title>The counter terrorism and security act 2015</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>It is primarily enforced by law enforcement agencies. they use it to manage risks posed by individuals who may be involved in terrorist activities. it includes measures like TPIMs (Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures) which restrict the activities of such individuals. it also places a duty on certain groups of people like the local authorities, schools and health providers to have due to regard to preventing people from being drawn to terrorism. This is often referred to as the 'Prevent Duty'.</p><p>Prevent strategy contains three objectives:&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>To respond to the ideological challenge of terrorism.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>To prevent people from being drawn into terrorism and ensure that they are given appropriate support.</p></li><li><p>Work with sectors and institutions where there may be risks.</p></li></ul><p>By Lajla </p>]]></description>

These include the right to:Have data erased,stop or restrict the processing of your data,object how your data is processed in certain circumstances,ect. You also have rights when an organisation is using your personal data for: automated decision-making processes (without human involvement ) and profiling, for example to predicted your behaviour or interests .</p>]]></description>

When something happens they are required to report any hazards to make sure that the incident won't happen again .
